Level 1 Award Mental Health Awareness which is qualified and regulated by the Ofqual (Department of Education), has been created using animation, motion graphics and whiteboarding to engage, inform and deliver a more modern approach in understanding mental health. With the qualification being independently regulated by Ofqual the UK government’s examination watchdog it sets a new standard in accessing and delivering mental health training to all employers and employees alike.

This qualification aims to
:

  • Support and empower individuals
  • Raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties
  • Dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues
  • Develop learners’ knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues.

You will develop an awareness of the cultural diversity within mental health issues and explore common perceptions of mental health difficulties, and how stereotyping effects and shape people’s, views, opinions and beliefs. You will also develop knowledge of the rights of those with mental health difficulties and the relevant support available.

This course is a formally recognised RQF qualification and is recognised throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

RQF, Regulated Qualifications Framework is the reference system put in place and regulated by Ofqual.

Who is it suitable for?

This course is appropriate for everyone who has an interest in raising their own understanding of mental health issues, self resourcing, empowering and supporting themselves and others. On successful completion of the course, you’ll gain a recognised qualification, this qualification is suitable for learners aged 14 and above.

Course Duration 2.5 hrs (approx)

Our recommendation is that you complete this course within one month, which equates to one module completed per week. Of course, you can complete it in less time if you're able to, a month is just a guide, and in most cases, students complete it in less time. But, we know only too well how busy life can be so don’t stress if it looks like your going to take over a month we can on request organise an extension for up to two weeks, which also extends your tutor support.

Assessment:

To be awarded the NCFE Mental Health Awareness Level 1 Award, you must successfully demonstrate the achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria detailed in the qualification specification. There are no grades awarded in this training.
